Vacuum systems with mixing condensers and
liquid ring vacuum pump
Liquid ring vacuum pumps are mechanical pumps. Due to moveable parts these pumps are more prone to interferences than ejectors, however, as they use electrical energy, operation is much more cost-effective. Through combination of ejectors with liquid ring vacuum pumps the advantages of both systems can be used.
Advantages
- short start-up time without a start-up ejector
- reduced operating costs
Disadvantages
- increased maintenance and repairs expenditure (mechanical pump)
- possibility of material damages due to cavitation (mechanical pump)
- limited possibilities in the choice of materials (mechanical pump)
